Congratulations to our Educator Cortney on becoming a National Geographic Certified Educator

Congratulations to our Educator Cortney on becoming a National Geographic Certified Educator "As an Educator, it’s all about inspiration. I hope to inspire the next generation of explorers, stewards, and global citizens. A tool that helps me to achieve this lofty goal is National Geographic’s Educator Certification program. This program provides professional development, resources, and relationships to maximize and focus my ability to inspire." To become certified by National Geographic you must complete three phases, which includes a learning stage, developing skills phase, and test of abilities. The initial phase includes learning the National Geographic Framework, which establishes the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that explorers exude. The next phase includes putting this knowledge into action by incorporating these concepts into a program. The final phase is where you are tested on the success of your program and have to submit a video of your endeavors. Upon successful completion, you become a proud National Geographic Educator!
